Biography:

Born in Bangkok, Thailand as Pranpriya Manoban on March 27, 1997, Lalisa Manoban (ลลิษา มโนบาล) is a member of South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, which was formed by YG Entertainment in 2016.

She grew up in the Buriram Province and was raised by her mother and stepfather. During her childhood, she was a member of a Thai dance group titled We Zaa Cool along with BamBam of GOT7 and Ten of NCT 127.

In 2010, she auditioned for YG Entertainment in Thailand and was really wanted to get it. She visited a fortune-teller with her mom and they told her to change her name to Lalisa, which means “one who is praised.” A week later, Lisa got the call and became a YG trainee in April 2011, making her the first international trainee of the company.

She was revealed to the public a year later through a dance cover of Chris Brown’s “Turn Up The Music.” The video was uploaded to YG’s YouTube channel with the title Who’s That Girl?, which was the catchphrase used for all the teasers of YG’s new girl group members. Its debut was delayed several years until June 8, 2016, when Lisa was confirmed as the second member of BLACKPINK.

On September 10, 2021, Lisa made her solo debut with the release of her self-titled single album, LALISA.
